Most welcoming mechanic I've been to. I got a simple oil change and the guy at the counter was very friendly and we chatted for a bit. They provide pictures with the recommended items to be replaced/repaired per the manufacturer. After taking my car home I noticed there was a teddy bear for my child in the car seat. It's a small gesture, but it means a lot. Thank you Matt's

Matt's did an excellent job replacing both turbo chargers and associated components in my Ecoboost pickup truck. I previously brought the truck to the Luther dealer and was quoted work with no explanation of why any of it needed to be done.Josh from Matt's made the whole process very easy. Took pictures of everything and I could see the technician's recommendations. He took to the time to communicate through the entire process. Their price was the same as the dealer but Matt's provided much better service and offered a minimum of 3yr/36k warranty on the work with some components going up to a 5yr/60k warranty. They broke a component during the install and replaced it at no charge with upfront communication. Truck came back working well and was clean. Would highly recommend. They won't be the cheap shop but the quality of work is worth it.

Straight forward, very knowledgeable down to earth company executed the vision with my car got what I needed done what I knew they told me so very honest company I wouldn’t recommend anybody else, but Matts ……. They took care of my car and me keep me driving safe and happy……

I came in for a specific repair and I was recommended a lot of other repairs. I understand that's pretty common, but my oil was just changed a month prior and I was told the oil was low. I checked it myself when I got my car back and the oil level was fine. I was also told my cabin air filter and windshield wipers needed to be replaced when they were just replaced two months ago.More repairs needed to be done than was initially suggested which brought the cost up drastically. At first I was told I would be ok if I didn't get the extra repair, but I received a call later saying if I didn't get the repair, the issue would not be resolved.All this to say I'm iffy on whether I trust this service center. So far, the repairs have been helpful though, but the suggested repairs seemed a little dishonest.

Josh was amazing to work with. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. My dad and I were pretty upset from a prior experience we had with a whole different shop, so we were very apprehensive and full of questions. Josh took his time, answered every question, explained everything in great detail, and made us feel more comfortable. He even thanked us for finishing off his night better. We even happened to show up while the district manager was present and he even helped us by answering questions, getting a better understanding of what we were getting done, and was amazing at his job. I would definitely recommend Matt's Automotive Service Center. I waited a week to make sure I was happy and I'm still happy. No noise in my breaks! Last time I had all 4 rotors and break pads replaced they made noise the moment I left and never stopped. I brought it in twice and was told they were fine, but the noise never stopped. When I brought it in the 3rd time I needed all new rotors and pads again! Only 2 years and 20,000 miles (I only drive to and from work. I'm not a big driver). I'm excited about the quality of work they performed and warranty they have. They have amazing coffee as well!!! Thank you! See you in the future!

Dishonest work. I had a sound coming from my brakes on my Silverado. Went in January and was told I had plenty pads. The sound was from dirt. Agreed to have brakes cleaned. $250 Sound came back a week later from rear brakes. Told then they only cleaned front brakes. If I wanted the rear ones cleaned it would be another 250. Was suggested to get them replaced because the pads could be faulty. Sound continued to get noisy. Went today June 4th to replace the brakes. Was quoted 750 the day before then told 520 today. Suspicious. I asked to see the pads taken off. It was simply a rock and dirt causing the sound. Instead of telling me that I didn't need the brakes, they replaced perfectly fine brakes and took my money. If I didn't ask to see the pads I would have not known. I have no plans to ever return to this business again. And neither should you.

honestly I initially went to Matt’s because they were approved by the service Warranty provider, but the level of Service and professionalism was above and beyond! Josh handled everything with the service warranty 100% for an entire engine replacement! Not only that but Josh was a step ahead at every part of the procedure from engine tear down and diagnosis of the problem but also he couldn’t understand why the service warranty was asking for oil change records which were entirely unrelated to a broken camshaft intake. And just as he stated the service warranty covered the replacement engine and $2,700 labor for the engine Josh had found before the company was even through with their assessment ! I mean amazing start to finish. I was kept informed over the course of nearly the entire month (because the insurance drug it out) And all the requested information that could be handled by Matts AUTOMOTIVE was!Oh and during the process I was quoted a price and that price actually went down which is all one really needs to say about the honesty.I would say I was lucky to find these guys, and I will be doing business with them moving forward! The crew at Matt's are great people and I highly recommend the shop. I do some of my own work on my vehicles and as a result have mistakes that need correcting and odd jobs that require flexibility in billing and time. They are knowledgeable, transparent, honest, and always willing to work with me to suit my needs. Thank you Matt's! I'll certainly be back.

Very sad $2200 and car seems to be running worse. Didn't give me an oil change sticker, didn't remotely fix the problem I brought my vehicle in for. I am hurt I have been looking for a good mechanic/shop for years and still have not found one. Thought matts was it but I wouldn't take my car back if they were the only place in town. On another note I gave 1 star because Joe had great customer service and I did like there online information and approval platform. I'm still very heart broken and $2200 down the drain

A friend of mine referred me here a couple of years ago... I used them for some minor exhaust work that at the dealership would have cost major $$$$$... We recently had an issue with our "main" vehicle so I brought it to them for an assessment... They were AWESOME... They diagnosed the problem & gave us options... while we have NOT decided on what to do (possibly trading the vehicle vs. fixing) I TOTALLY TRUST THEM!

Mike was very nice and he was helpful and friendly Smokey and Jeff where the greatest help and did everything they said they would do and I just love that shop I will be taking my car there from now on

Honestly this place is AMAZING… don’t go anywhere else… A hectic weekday morning I was able to bring my car in the day after I called and fixed and back to me by the time I was done with work - oh and they provide a loaner vehicle!! Mike was amazing and made it the quickest/easiest auto-shop experience of my life!!! We love you guys! 🦬

Had Mike and the guys over at Matt’s in Columbia Heights take a look at some electrical issues we were having on a couple of our box trucks. They diagnosed it the same day I called and fixed them both up within a couple of days. Very happy with how efficient they run. Defiantly taking our box trucks there from here on out.

Oil pan/Engine/Shift linkage/Wheel bearings/Coolant and water pump. Great people. Mike, the Service Manager and Scott, the Regional Manager, kept me informed every step of the way while my trucks were being repaired. Great shop.

Went here for an oil change and asked them to check out a wheel that's squeaking. The oil change was $75. They said that included a preliminary check-up on the car, but they weren't able to diagnose the squeaky wheel in that amount of time, so they said it would be an extra $65 to look into the wheel more in depth. I agreed and they checked it out, but they weren't able to figure out the problem. I'm sure it didn't help that the wheel decided not to squeak for the mechanic.They didn't end up charging me the $65 for the extended time since they couldn't find any problems, so I appreciate that. The oil change was a bit expensive, though.The guy at the service desk was very nice, as well.

I went on a road trip and my heat shield came loose. It's an easy fix but with winter, my car being tiny and not being able to work on it, I needed a shop to look at. I work in Rogers, MN and asked a shop close to Matt's if they could just look at my car and let me know if they could on an appointment either fix or replace the heat shield. They said yes. So, I drove there and of course they said they didn’t have time (Thanks Midas). Then I went to the shop next to it. Went inside, no one was there. Sign said opened, I went into the office and no was there. After 10 mins I Left. I got in car and drove down and saw Matt Automotive. It was around 4:15PM and they close at 5PM. I went in and talked to Michael about my experience that I just had and if they could just look underneath my car and let me know if they could replace or fix the heat shield. Michael said yes, they can look at it. I am sitting in the lobby, and I hear them doing something in the shop. 15 mins later, a technician by the name of Cole comes up to me and says here are your keys and your car is fixed. I am stunned. I ask what they did. Cole explained to me that the old screws holding up the heat shield eroded, and they put washers and it is good as new. I asked how much I owe, and they said not to worry about it. I kept asking them if, they are sure. They would not bill for that 15 min fix. I shook their hands, and I could not thank them enough. I got in my car and couldn't believe it. No more terrible rattling coming from my car. Thank you, Michael, and Cole. I will bring all my business to you in the future. Your customer service skills and integrity are through the roof.
