Previously known as Campbell Auto and Tire, Matt’s Automotive Service Center of Pine City is dedicated to providing our customers with exceptional service. I had a problem with tire pressure on my way to work, pulled in last minute to Matt's and they were very accommodating. Eli got my car in figured out the problem, and explained all the different options for repair. Even told me what each option would cost I appreciate the honesty. Thanks to Eli and his crew I was back on the road in no time! I would definitely recommend Matt's Auto!

Extremely helpful and kind. I was pretty much stranded in a snow storm and couldn't figure out why my car wouldn't move. The people there got my car working again and helped me out tremendously. I'm very grateful for them.

Suppose its my turn, I have to leave a poor review. Went in to have my back bulbs changed. And a simple diagnostic. I was quoted over 6,000 in "recommended repairs" the crazy thing is, is i work on my car constantly, so does my adopted dad. I would notice if there was an oil leak. After the diagnostic, they told me I had an oil leak. Fluids were smeared by what looked like by hand all over the bottom of my car. I keep an eye on all parts of my vehicle. I jack my car up like once every two months, I definitely would've seen the oil before they did... I am a young woman, im sure a shop full of men would take full advantage of my perceived stupidity.If Rimers in hinckley wasn't always booked out, I would've saved 100 dollars by going there.Im sorry Eli. Your customer service is awesome at the desk, but the buisness is rather shady as a whole !

Honest, thorough, and very accommodating. When they realized a repair was far less work and needed fewer parts than first quoted, they reduced the price accordingly even though I wouldn’t have known the difference. I paid less than half of what was originally quoted and will be returning for my future repairs.

Absolutely great experience. I called in for a pre-purchase auto inspection at 9:30am on a Friday and it was done by 11:45am. I honestly wasn't expecting such quick service. Not only the inspection was thoroughly done but Eli on the phone was absolutely amazing with communication and giving his auto experience and knowledge. Please give Eli a bonus or a raise. I've dealt with many auto repair shops as I buy and sell cars and his assistance was crucial as I live 2 hours from Pine City and didn't want to make the drive without getting the vehicle properly checked out. Again thank you Eli and Matt's Auto! I highly recommend!

Matt's automotive is a fantastic place to bring your vehicle. Eli is very knowledgeable with parts and helping you understand what's going on with your vehicle. Chris the shop foreman was extremely helpful on making sure you know exactly what's going on and what happens if it fails. And why it's important to get it done. 10/10 recommend bringing you're vehicle here!

Matt’s Auto is SO AWESOME! I got my car in right away and I got my car back within a day and it runs like a top! I would recommend these guys to anybody and everybody. The customer service is outstanding. The equipment that they use and the Way that they check over everything is refreshing and they also detail everything out so you know what you need and they do pictures so they show you why you need it. Price was also reasonable to me & their location is nice and close to my house. I will be using them in the future

If I could leave zero stars I would. I thought I had left a review already of the worst automotive experience ever. I was lied to and screwed over majorly. I had my truck in for a couple things. This update is related to my tire repair. They charged me $50 to fix my leaky tire initially and it still leaked. They convinced me to bring it back so I did and they “fixed” it again. Found another issue they said.. well, my tire still leaks. This place will lie to your face and screw you over. I’m cutting my losses and taking it to a reputable shop in Mora. Just stay away from these crooks.

Always have a good experience here. Communication is the key. Electrical everything on cars makes repairs more expensive. So considering the reality of one's car structure is key number 2. Key 3 is parts. Economic fluctuations can make parts expensive, just like like "parts" for building/repairing homes. Anything built to last and keep you safe costs money.Matt's Automotive Repair is place to trust. They do care and they give you optional tiers (when available) for your choosing of repair for your pocket book. This is the only place I trust, really, within a 40 mile radius. Thank you Eli and the rest of the crew for taking responsible, caring pride in your work and your friendly charm and character. Please don't let grumpy, mis-informed customers change your attitudes. Last week I had multiple warning lights on my auto and had my car towed to Matt’s Auto Service Center in Pine City for service. I’ve gone there in the past, so I knew I could trust Eli, the manager, along with Jager and Chris to resolve the issues. They did some thorough testing, and Eli very patiently explained what needed to be repaired, how long it would take, and the price (Passenger Front Wheel Sensor, Rear Brake Pads & Disc Rotors, etc.) They also provided me with an online inspection report, so I know what repairs need to be addressed in the future. My car is back on the road! I received a follow up text a couple of days later to make sure my car was running well. This shop is professional and reliable, and everyone is friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I recently had a few things done to my car and I'm pretty happy with the service I received. They communicated with me the entire time they had my car and told me what they had found and the severity of the issue. The follow up text after a couple days to make sure everything was still good was very cool as well.

Stopped in on an extremely cold day when I couldn’t get air in my tire anywhere in the area and the owner actually pulled my car in himself and put air in my low tire adjusted my other tire pressures and explained to my what my tires need. Much appreciated support ur small town businesses

My car had a few issues that I wanted Matt's to fix. One if them was a problem two other shops, including a Nissan dealer could not figure out how to fix. Matt's took on the challenge, went above and beyond and I am very happy with the results.Eli communicated with me every step of the way, they gave me a loaner car to use while my car was being repaired, and they even put a cute teddy bear in my son's car seat. Their price was comparable with other shops, they have a warranty on all their services, and they know how to do an alignment right. I would recommend them and would take my car back to them for maintenance and repairs.

I recently had repairs done on my vehicle and I'm very satisfied with the work. Booking online is quick and easy but if you prefer to call they are very prompt. The waiting area is welcoming and can't go wrong with having a coffee break. I worked with Eli and he kept me informed on what was going on. They take pictures and put it up on the computer with their findings and suggestions. The follow-up text the next week to see how things were going was greatly appreciated! Thank you

My first and last experience with Matt's automotive Pine City:Matt's opens at 8:00am, I pulled up at 8:06am. I didn't see any tire tracks in the snow leading to their shop and their parking lot was empty. (Go figure) So I called them up and asked if there was an opening for a simple oil change. The person who answered said their name was Levi. He claimed he was in the shop. But that I would need to leave my vehicle with them for a few days! For an oil change, really?? (Pobably knowing how dumb what he just said was) He then advised me to go to another shop in North Branch!

Went in for an oil change, as well as an inspection. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They did a very thorough look through of my vehicle and identified the issue I came in for as well as pointed out some other potential problems that needed to be addressed. Pricing on oil change and inspection were very reasonable.

Brought vehicle in for oil change and removal of lug nut locks which I had lost the socket for their removal. They managed to remove the lug nut locks. Did a very good job at a reasonable price. Very professional and friendly.

AWESOME SERVICE!1.) I called them and told them I had a leaky tire-They got me in within an hour!2.) Friendly front desk service.3.) They have a high tech full body massage chair in the lobby that’s free for their customers to use….I literally got a massage while they fixed my tire. Doesn’t get much better than that!4.) The price was fair! (In this economy it’s hard to find a fair price on anything anymore, so thank you for that!)5.) I received a follow up text the next day to check in on my tire and to make sure everything was still good.It’s really nice to feel like a valued customer.This business does a very good job at it!

They checked my vehicle and gave me an estimate. Brakes needed work but I was not ready to fix it yet for a couple weeks. When I picked it up it sounded way worse than when I brought it in. Had someone check it and the lug nuts were so loose they could be screwed off by hand. Good thing I only drove a few blocks. What disappointed me most was when I let the service person know...he just said that happens with Hondas sometimes....instead of accepting responsibility for an error.

If I could rate this place I would give it less than a 1. I took my vehicle in for rear brakes the first thing they told me was there was a 36.00 charge just because their shop did it that way to inspect the whole vehicle all I needed was rear brakes. they spent more time on the vehicle inspection then they did if they would have just did the brakes they showed me pictures of all the things that I needed on the vehicle costing over 2,500. All I needed was new brake needless to say I will never return to that business

I came in with my car because Walmart said they couldn't took 2 of the lugnuts on passenger rear tire. Not only did Matt's look at it, they fixed and inspected my vehicle. Sam was amazing talking to me and gave me good advice about not having people/friends fix my vehicle except if they are a mechanic. THANK YOU!

If I could give less than one star I would! My partner dropped off his work van on May 18 to have the transmission replaced. We picked it up on June 6. He only had 33 miles & the transmission failed! Matt’s contacted the vendor where they found the transmission to have another one sent. That took a few weeks. When Matt’s received it, they were going to charge us another $1300 to replace it. This was after paying $6700 for the first transmission. During this time I filled a claim with my credit card to dispute the original charge. At this time Matt’s was finally able to work with the vendor on a lesser amount to replace it again. From when we dropped it off to when we picked it up was 102 days! For a self employed business owner, this was detrimental to his business. Think twice before going to Matt’s, yeah they did eventually replace the transmission, but again it took about a 3rd of the year to do it!

I have been to Matt's 4-5 times in the last year for repairs on my old 2009 van. I needed a/c work, rear struts, brake pads, oil changes, and a coil kit. They have been so kind, helpful and patient in explaining what is wrong with the vehicle and my best options. Their diagnostic tests were free and very accurate. They were fair and honest with their repairs and stuck with the price quotes they gave.I had really been ripped off by a local dealership prior to this and was relieved to work with honest and caring people.

We called these folks for a noise we were hearing when driving at low speeds. They got us in right away, diagnosed within 10 minutes and had us out the door with new brakes and rotors in an hour.They offered us a loaner car for the hour we would be sitting, but we didn't need it. It's great they have the option though! (Even the dealer I got my last car from doesn't have loaners available most of the time.)We were fully pleased with the service. They even include quotes in the invoice for other issues that need fixing. It is really nice not having to ask for a quote on extras!Tom was the service manager and he made the experience very easy for us.We will definitely go back with other inevitable car issues that arise.

We had them mount and balance a tire for us. The service was great and fast. The cost was a bit of a sticker shock though. Over $30. But, the, we haven't had a tire M&B since before COVID so maybe this is the running price now.

The crew at Matt's was extremely friendly and professional. It took a while to complete all the repairs, but that was mainly due to the availability of parts because of the age of the vehicle.I told Sam (behind the desk) the that I have found my new home garage.

Matt and his team went above and beyond to save our camping trip vacation. Just south of Pine City on I-35, our boat trailer had a tire failure which also took out our trailer brakes. On a Friday, Matt was able to source the brake pads we needed, and fit us in to an already fully booked shop schedule. By afternoon, Matt had us back on the road with new trailer tires and brakes. We also learned it was the first day Matt took ownership of this shop and he was there during the transition.Great people make great businesses. Thank you Matt and your team for the SUPERIOR customer service. You made a bad situation a positive situation, which allowed for a great family vacation and memory making for us and the kids. Thank you again.

DO NOT GO HERE: They refused to do the repair I wanted. Forced me to pay for a test I did not want! The overall price was over $400 more than original quote!!! DO NOT GO HERR. Wanted a simple thermostat gasket replaced. That's all. They wanted to do a bunch of other things (most of them having nothing to do with the repair requested). I am the customer! Do what I ask you to do!!Still ended up paying $64 for a test I did not want, and told them I didn't want done!Absolutely ridiculous, will never go here again!

I had to get an alignment done, tie rods replaced and a front axle replaced. Ended up needing some additional work done besides the above . I also was a customer of Campbell's for about 12 years so was interested to see how things would go with new ownership. Matt's was able to get me in quickly to get the work done. They willingly worked with my warranty company to get some of the repairs covered so that was fantastic . Not all the garages in this area will do that. Customer service was great. Follow up and communication was good. Well done. Even though I no longer work in pine city you will be getting my business.
